25th February - Coffee at Slug and Lettuce - Didsbury

I arrived at the S & L today to find Sue F already there. Haven't seen her for ages - she says she was ill in January so she didn't go out much. Other people started arriving not long after me. Susanna and Vanessa said they both had a good time last night. Tim said the reason he didn't go was because he went to a Network day in Shrewsbury - sounds like he had a good day. Then Kay came in and gave him an application form for the next weekend away. We were all much amused when he mistook the word canoeing for canoodling(!), particularly Jenny who reckoned she needed cheering up after a stressful morning.
We had a couple of new people joining us today. One brought along a non-Christian friend for moral support. Some others reckoned this was one of the few groups where you didn't need moral support, but I reckon I was glad of the support I got when I first joined the group.
There cetanly seems to be quite a few interested in the next weekend away. Must write out my cheque when I get home.
